What is the connectivity potential linking Zurich, Prague and Porto to their top 5 destinations for student mobility? In the framework of the SET project, we prepared three Connectivity Reports that summarise comprehensive data on the availability of direct bus and train connections, including overnight services. The analysis specifically emphasises rail and bus transportation, as these modes are generally considered the most environmentally sustainable. For further insights into the climate impact of these routes, please refer to the Factsheets on Sustainable Student Mobility.

Going beyond the superficial comparison of travel duration, slow or green travel can be enjoyable and productive. Passengers may read, work, engage in leisure activities, or interact with fellow travellers. Many long-distance trains also feature an onboard bar, providing an opportunity to relax and enjoy a refreshment. These unique experiences can inspire new activities at the mobility destination, trigger reflections on European values and have a ripple effect of responsible consumption in other lifestyle areas!

The above-mentioned connectivity reports are available in the Resources section of the website.
