We are pleased to announce that the results of the SET project will be disseminated at the Student Mobility Summit “More Mobility, Less Carbon Footprint” in early 2025. Here’s your chance to get involved!
Survey for students on green mobility and travel
An essential element of the SET project is the student survey. It will help us to better understand the experiences and expectations of former and future Erasmus students. The patterns that emerge from the responses will enable us to make more sustainable travel options available to students on mobility.
A winning poster for SET and a special attention to green skills
Our poster “Elevating students’ green skills through sustainable travel”, presented in September at the EAIE 2024 conference in Toulouse, was awarded the best in its session by the participants.
Dive into the Green skills repository
This digital “board game” highlights the potential for students to acquire and enhance transversal skills and green attitudes by choosing to travel sustainably to their mobility destination. Follow the path from preparation to graduation to uncover all competencies and their link to green travel!
Green transportation modes in numbers
Between 2021-2023, the 20 most popular flows that were realised with a green transportation mode, i.e. not by plane, represented 3.418 student mobilities. Exploring travel habits and analysing data will bring us closer to making mobility sustainable through greener travel modes.
Repository of green competences in the pipeline
Traveling is part of the journey and the entire Erasmus mobility experience. What skills can students gain by sustainable travel? As part of the Sustainable Erasmus+ Travel (SET) project, we are working on identifying and showcasing green soft competences.
SET in the spotlight and on a poster
The poster presenting the Sustainable Erasmus+ Travel project, which was showcased in the poster gallery at the seventh edition of the EUF Open Space event, was therefore received with great interest.
Challenges for students on sustainable travel to their mobility destination
What are the most common challenges students face when travelling with sustainable modes of transportation to their mobility destination?
The SET consortium organised student focus groups to provide answers and ultimately help understand what is needed to facilitate green travel in Erasmus+.
SET gets off to a flying start
The first in-person meeting of the project provided an opportunity to discuss the preliminary findings of the first student focus groups, the planned analysis of student travel data and the preparatory steps for the subsequent activities to be implemented, such as the sustainable travel platform and the green skills repertory.
The evolution of green travel in Erasmus+
The European Green Deal, introduced in 2019, is the flagship initiative of the European Union that proposes a comprehensive policy catalogue with a view to reconciling our response to the threats of ecological disruption with opportunities for economic growth and social equality.
The SET project has been launched
The Sustainable Erasmus+ Travel (SET) project aims to support the ongoing transition to a more environmentally sustainable Erasmus+ programme. The online kick-off meeting took place on the 1st of February 2024.
